Cookies and device storage
We keep this short because we use very little. Essential items keep you signed in and your booking working; anything beyond that is optional.
Last updated 23 August 2026
Strictly necessary
- Sign-in session token, stored in your browser so you stay logged in and only you can see your jobs.
- Current job reference, so you return to the right tracking screen if you close the tab.
- Security and abuse-prevention tokens used by our payment provider.
These cannot be switched off without breaking the service, and they need no consent.
Optional, with your consent
- Precise location, used to place you on the map and find the nearest pro. Granted through your browser or phone prompt and revocable in your device settings.
- Push notifications and audible job alerts for pros, controlled in pro settings.
- Analytics on how pages are used, so we can improve the flow: [TO CONFIRM: analytics provider, if any].
- Marketing emails or messages, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Third-party items
Google Maps sets its own storage when a map loads, and Stripe sets fraud-prevention storage on the payment step. See our subprocessor list for who these providers are and what they receive.
How to control it
You can clear or block storage in your browser settings, and revoke location or notification permission on your device at any time. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and stop bookings from working. Questions: hello@fxed.uk.
Draft for review. Items shown as [TO CONFIRM…] must be completed with our registered details, and these documents should be reviewed by a UK-qualified solicitor before they are relied on.
