How pricing works
This page explains the maths. Nothing on it books a job — you only ever pay after you've seen the exact price for your call-out and tapped to confirm.
Try the cost estimatorPick the trade, day, time and how long the job might take to see a price. The two numbers on every quote
- 1. The call-out fee
- One fixed amount covering the pro travelling to you and the first 45 minutes on site. A standard weekday plumber call-out is currently £60.00.
- 2. Time after the first 45 minutes
- Billed in 15-minute blocks at the rate shown on your quote before you confirm — a standard weekday plumber block is currently £15.00 per 15 minutes. Parts are quoted separately by the pro and agreed with you before they're fitted.
Time of day
Emergencies at 3am cost more because a pro is getting out of bed for you.
- Standard hours (Mon–Fri, 6am–6pm)×1.00
- Evening callout (6pm–10pm)×1.20
- Weekend callout×1.25
- Overnight callout (10pm–6am)×1.50

- Cancel before a pro accepts and you're refunded in full.
- If a pro never arrives, or the job isn't done, you're refunded in full.
- You get an itemised VAT receipt by email when the job is complete.
